Starhill Global is a Singapore-based real estate investment trust with an initial property portfolio consisting of two landmark properties – Wisma Atria and Ngee Ann City. Acquired by Pacific Star in 2002 and 2003 respectively, Wisma Atria and Ngee Ann City were sold to Macquarie Prime REIT for USD772 million in September 2005. The initial public offer was 30 times oversubscribed during its launch.
In December 2008, YTL Corporation Berhad acquired a stake of approximately 26% in the REIT and a 50% interest in the holding company. Pacific Star remains the 50% owner of the holding company.
